We open our flagship store in Nolita—a neighborhood known for its style, creativity, and cultural depth—we’re seeking an experienced and thoughtful Retail Store Associate to assist this next chapter of our retail journey.

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a passionate Retail Sales Associate to deliver exceptional service and drive sales in our new NYC brick-and-mortar location. As a brand ambassador, you’ll embody Viberg’s heritage, craftsmanship, and culture, sharing deep product knowledge and creating a personalized shopping experience for every customer.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to personal growth. You’ll ensure customers leave satisfied, contributing to our store’s success and reflecting the attention to detail synonymous with Viberg Boot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one product consultations to guide customers through fit, material selection, and construction details
  • Support clients in building footwear wardrobes and navigating seasonal edits and exclusive drops
  • Maintain the visual presentation of the store to reflect brand standards of minimalism and craftsmanship
  • Assist in creating localized content and product feedback for internal product development teams
  • Participate in training sessions on leather types, lasts, and construction methods to deepen product fluency
  • Maintain accurate client profiles and follow up with personalized outreach via email or text
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement and refine retail best practices and SOPs
  • Monitor and report on sales KPIs and foot traffic trends in partnership with retail analytics tools
  • Help plan and host in-store events, trunk shows, or product launches, reflecting our commitment to client engagement
  • Act as a brand steward by sharing knowledge of Viberg’s heritage, manufacturing process, and commitment to quality

 Additional Requirements

  • Strong understanding of luxury retail or artisanal product categories (footwear, fashion, or design)
  • Proven ability to build lasting client relationships and drive repeat business
  • Comfort working with CRM tools or retail systems to track client preferences and sales history
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for visual merchandising and store upkeep
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and peak sales periods
  • A personal interest in footwear, craftsmanship, or fashion is a strong asset
  • Experience working in a premium or boutique retail environment preferred
  • Ability to maintain composure and deliver exceptional service under pressure
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work fluidly as part of a small, dedicated team
  • Excellent PC skills: POS Systems and Microsoft Office.
    Moderate Lifting (30-40 lbs.)
