Service Boot Toscanello Horsebutt

The Service Boot in Toscanello Horsebutt is the first style we wanted to highlight from Drop One.  This is a heavyweight, vegetable-tanned Horsebutt leather from a small artisanal tannery in central Italy.  Named after a specific brand of cigar, Toscanello is a medium brown tone leather with a matte finish and irregular texture.  As with many of the small-batch Italian leathers we source there is a slightly unfinished quality to it that typically allows for a faster and more significant patina to develop.  While Italian tanneries are often known best for lightweight, supple leathers, we were able to source this Horsebutt in a heavy enough weight to produce an unlined version of our classic Service Boot.  Along with the British Ridgeway sole, the combo makes for a low-maintenance, casual boot perfect for the transition into Spring.
